Ext HD is asking to be formatted AFT file Xfr

Hello,

I just recently purchased an ineo 250 GB HD and transferred about 100gb of info to it.
When I went to take this HD to my other computer it said that the HD needs to be Formatted.
Have I now lost all of the information off of my hard drive and my External hard drive?
Please tell me what to do next

Hi there,

You didnt make a safe remove thus making the device corrupt,format it as system cannot read,then use recovery tool to get the data restored,have recover my files downloaded from link below:
