HP G60 23OUS wont turn onClosed

Question

Hello, 
I have a HP G60 23OUS notebook.  My daughter was using it last night, and when she returned to it there was a black screen, and would not turn on again.  It was plugged in.  When you press the start button the lights blink slightly and then stop.  Waiting a little while sometimes the lights will seem a little brighter, but then fade again and nothing happens.  Any suggestions???


Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

The same thing happened to mine last night. I would also be interested to see what people have to say.

Ok- I had a similar issue- at this time, I do not know of any true fix to this problem, but it seems to be wide spread. However, following these steps will get the computer to turn back on:
1) Un-plug AC adapter and battery
2) Hold power button 10-15 seconds.
3) Plug AC adapter back in.
4) Power on.
5) Replace battery if you wish.

This worked for me- Hope it helps!
