Black screen of death after malware scan

Hello, my computer said i needed to run a scan for malware on a dell studio, and i ran a malware scan and it said I needed to restart it. I restarted it and now it just comes up o the dell screen and then the screen turns black..and nothing else happens ..what can I do?? thanks danny...cannonball197622aol.com
