Help sims 3 saving

i have sims 3 ambitions, world adventures and sims 3 but when i try 2 save it cuts off and goes 2 desktop so nothing saves...!!!!!!!! what can i do 2 fix this???

when im playng and i wnt 2 save i click save. & then it appers as if it is saving then i stops turns black & goes 2 the desktop so i erased as much custom content as i cud but not everything but it didnt help
