Compaq c700 video driver

Hello,

When I boot my laptop, the screen comes up but fade away, and gets very dim. I can't see anything, what could be the problem.

it could be the video card. or maybe the VIDEO DRIVE. have u tried updating the divers by going into the COMPAQ website?
