ps3 modern warfare 2 call of duty to work onlClosed

Hello,  
im trying to get modern warfare 2 call of duty to work online, but everytime i try to go online it interfers with my laptops internet and turns it off. why does this keep happening? how come i cant use my laptops internet and also play through wifi on call of duty? pleaseeee help meeeee. 

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.10

if you have laptop hook up with the ps3 dont do that  if wireless connection hook up with the ps3 and you really to play online
