Hi,
I just have about 1000 entries in a column, but it works when I choose the whole column with the little black arrow on the top of each column (click on A or another column).
But, as you've got a vast amount of records in your sheet, I'm not quite sure whether the size is the problem. Maybe the advanced filter will do the trick.

One reason could be that you have blank rows/cell in between. Get out of the filter mode completely, select all the cell, re-apply the filters. See if that helps
