Hello Carol,
Sorry to say but you will need the video card. If you live in the UK you may be able to get the proper one for about 18 pounds, but you must get the proper card not any card. I suggest you shop around.
Replacing a card is fairly simple. You locate it, remove it and insert into the slot. Those cards come with a CD with the drivers you must install.

TY i only bought this netbook in begining of this month paid 279 for it i would of thought for that price that everything would be on it it as got no cd drive so i bought one for it it's CNM external drive so that my daughter can play the sims on her netbook but she cant so she as to play it on the pc instead .

Dear Carol,
Did you mention to the vendor what you wanted the netbook for? He could have suggested a different device. I suggest you return to the store and see what they can do for you.
However, you may try to uninstall the game. Sometimes the graphic drivers need to be updated even if the netbook is just coming off the shelf. Go to the manufacturer's web site and see if there is an update for the graphic card. If so download and install. Then, reinstall the sims.
