Hello,
I'm facing the same problem.. I'm using linux on acer aspire. it detects my College wifi with good signal strength but is not able to connect it..i reinstalled all the drivers but nothing helps... any suggestions please..

Hi,
Does your college WIFI have a password? Are you assigned an IP address? Do you have to tell the network administrator that you want to connect? Sometimes they have the MAC filtering on.
