Could someone please assist me

I installed a 500gb sata hard drive in january this year. Today i want to do a complete format of this hard drive and partition it. Via bios i selected floppy as first drive put a fat 32 floppy boot disc in to format hard drive and partition it, the floppy did not recognize the 500gb sata hard drive. Is it possible to update a floppy boot disc including sata drivers etc so i can format and partition my 500gb sata hard drive??? All i want to do via bios is format and partition this sata hard drive without hassle, is there anyone out there that could offer me advise and assistance.

I have downloaded ultimate boot disc which suppose to boot any operating system, format and partition any hard drive. This claim is rubbish.
