Dell 1525 broadband card utility

Hello,

i'm using dell inspiron 1525 and i bought it 1 year ago
when i had purchased it ,it was having the dell broadband card utility software installed in it but 6 months ago i have to format my laptop for some reason (not viruse).
now when i tried to install the above mentioned software from the utility driver software disc which came with my laptop, it started the installation but in between it stopped and said "no device detected " and stops the installation process.
on dell website, the solution to this problem is said to first stop all the processes then install , but this advice doesn't work
i wanna install this software for using sim card on my laptop

please please tell me what to do ,am i instaling the wrong software or which 1 i have to install
i have got vista premium 32-bit os and 2gb ram
i was installing the software from communication drivers segment ,My System Dell Wireless 5720 VZW Mobile Broadband (EVDO Rev-A) MiniCard Rev: A01

note that ther is no virus in my laptop
