ACER with windows vista and grey screen Closed

Hello, 



I have an acer computer with windows vista and when I restarted the computer I get a black screen with cursor.  When I tried to use the recovery disk for the computer I got a black screen.  Please Help!!

Hi,

Start by removing the battery and drain the power from it pressing power,click here and have more instructions.

NEVER REMOVE the internal battery! That will drastically reduce your motherboards life-span! However, in your current situation I'd advise you to re-install windows vista. Clearly there is a problem with your formatting, whether its corrupt or not, just re-install vista  :)

Hello, 

It may sound silly ,but have you recently change: switch for a PS2 to USB ..keyboard/mouse recently..
