Itouch HELP PLEASE

Hi, I have an itouch and after i downloaded the new software itunes is telling me i have to restore my ipod and now when i turn on my itouch it just shows the itunes symbol and usb cabling telling me to connect it to itunes but i dont want to lose all of my songs bc i dont have them on my itunes. Is there a way to get out of this without losing everything? Thanks

Hello

I'm no expert in Apple products, but here's a trick that could work.

You can make use of alternative software (CopyTrans Manager) to save your favorite music tracks (on your Hard disk) for your Device before installing Tunes .
