The reason why it is acting like this is that the system requirements of the game is nnot being respected by your PC.
Get confirmed whether the specific games are compatible on your PC through the below instructions.

I was able to run those games before but I hardly game on my labtop. One day I went out of town and used that labtop to log in the games, the screen went black after 5-10 minutes.
At first I thought it was over heating, so I tested the temperature, the screen turned off at 62-64 degrees. Everything seems fine when I opened it up the labtop and I also renewed the thermal paste on the graphic card.
