acer aspire one will not boot win xp Closed

Question

Hello, 
acer aspire one...when i power up laptop the acer screen briefly appears then screen goes black...i tried F8 and i get options to start in safe mode, etc. but upon selecting any option the screen goes black again....have tried Alt F10 and small white line appears accross the top of black screen, nothiong more....i have no cd drive...any help greatly appreciated

You have two options try removing the battery and press the power button,further instructions here:
