No power

Hello,
Please help me with my computer problem.Please take time to help me find a solution to my problem. I turned my computer off and when I went to turn it on nothing worked----no lights,no fans,no sound. I replaced the power supply with a new one but nothing happened ---computer was still dead. The pc is an Acer Aspire 1700. Please someone help me. Thank you,thank you very much. Hi,

Verify that your cmos battery is not dead.

Thanks for the tip about the cmos battery. Found it and checked with meter and it showed ok. The pc is only 2 years old. I also checked the power supply by connecting green and black wires and the fan did work in power supply. Still no success in getting pc to do anything.Please seen any other suggestions.

Hi,
Verify also the power cable.
Is there a bip or something like that when you press on power button?
