Hello,

I purchased a new seagate hard drive two months ago and transferred all of my important stuff on it. Then yesterday I dont know what happened but a message came on screen saying my hard drive needed to be formatted and now when i connect it theres no auto play or no recognition that the device has been read on "My Computer".

There is the light on the hard drive but it just keeps whizzing and no icon appears on my computer .

Please tell me what do I do and whether all my information will be recovered or not! Its very important!

I'm pretty sure it can be recovered unless it's not able to connect to a computer any longer. I don't really know what's wrong with it, but you can always take it to whomever/wherever you got it and ask them to look at it for you.

Best of luck!
