one fine day when i connected my external hard drive to my hcl celeron laptop, the external hard drive showed no folders. i checked properties and as per that the folders had not been deleted. i also went in control panel and tried the unhide hidden folder option but still no success. please help me

Hello,
Try this 1
Click on Start --> Run --> type control folders and press Enter.
"Folder Options" will be opened.
Click on "View" tab --> Select the option "Show hidden files and folders" and
uncheck the check box "Hide protected operating system files" and click on OK.
