Hello,
I have been given a list of 200 codes but they are in the wrong order. for example it goes 12378945610. so i want to swap the 456 and the 789 rows around, and i want to do this for the whole document. can this be done by a code? or will it have to be done manually.

Thanks

Are the codes always in position 4,5 and 6 and 7, 8 and 9?

This is the first 12 codes of the list and I want to swap the ones with a * with the ones with a #. then next 12 will have the same format.

So, what is the intended outcome?
I'm assuming that the * and # are just being used to highlight the rows.
It looks to me that the list will be the same just in a different sort order.

Its fine now, thanks. I didnt have 2 days to do it so I just had to swap everything myself. The point of the post was really to see if there is a way to swap numbers around, but it looks like its harder than it sounds.

Glad you got it sorted.

But its only hard because of the lack of detail in the question.
What we need are details, examples, expected outcome. Sample files. etc etc.
If all of this information was included in the first place I'm pretty sure you'd have had a solution fairly quickly.
