usb formatClosed

Question

Hello, 

I have 256 mb usb (data traveller), when itry to format, it shows write protected, while its not write protected. But it only reads the file already exist on USB.
If any body has got the solution, pls reply

Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 534.10

Hi,

There are two types of write protection,one is on the device itself with a micro switch and other one in registry parameters.here is the solution for the removal From Faq:
