Hello,

My question is why does my laptop shut completely down when I put a load on it, this is a new problem and I can't figure it out. It's a HP Pavillion dv6000. It has been fine for years but now it just randomly shuts off. I have to wait for awahile and than it will boot back up. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Email enclosed

It sounds like something is overheating , Or the processor is on the way out , but it could be many things but to rule some things out make sure your fan is clean and there is good air flow .
very simple buy a can of compressed air in a computer shop and follow instructions on the can be sure not to hold it upside down as liquid gas can come out and clean out the fan entry and exit.
