XP Compaq system restore, lost Office

Did a Compaq XP system restore and can't get my Office 07 back. I am a septuagenarian, limited income and I can't afford another Office program. I lost my disk. I would so appreciate it if someone could help me out. I'm thinking I'd have to go back in Safe Mode to the registry but, passed that I'm lost. Please don't let my age dissuade you. I follow directions better than most.

Most probably you have a trial verison of office 2007
if you had installed 2007 yourself, then you would need the cd

if you dont have the cd, the best you can do is to install openoffice. it is free and is like office 2003
