Do you mean DV6 or DV6000 series?
DV6000 drivers are extremely easy to get on HP's website.

Hi RE
First, I suggest that you go to your device manager, locate the sound card and delete it. Reboot your system and Windows will detect it as new hardware installed.
Please download and install and run this HP tool. It will automatically determine which drivers need updating and all other necessary updates, and link you to the downlaod site

Install the drivers and you should have sound.
Photoshop is a totally different issue and I would require more details as to what happens when you try to install it. Do you have the CD and license for it?
Good luck
