Laptop Screen is dead

Hello,

The screen on my laptop died. I had planned on getting a new one so I went out and bought a new laptop. I would like to get the files off the old laptop but without a screen, how do I do this?

Is there a way to connect the new laptop to the old one and retrieve the files?

Hello,

Try this 1

Connect an external monitor to your laptop. Just look for the VGA connector

(there will be a monitor symbol) in your laptop and connect it to the external

monitor then switch ON your laptop.

Note : If you failed to get the display in external monitor, then use the proper

combination keys(like Fn+F5/ the function key that's having the monitor symbol

on it) to toggle between your laptop screen and the external monitor.

After getting the display in external monitor backup your data in external hard

drive or in DVD's
