Win VISTA driver WORKS for MFC-9700 in Win 7Solved/Closed

Question

SOLVED:  just upgraded to Win 7 ... MUST use Windows "VISTA" driver to get Brother MFC-9700 printer to work with Windows "7"  ...... download "Full Driver & Software Package" here (copy & paste):

this will download the "mflpro" folder. Open the "mflpro" folder and select "Setup9700" and follow instructions. Voila! your Brother MFC-9700 now works in Windows "7".  

I've since printed numerous documents in Windows "7" using the "Vista" driver for the MFC-9700 now, without one hitch!

ISSUE that was solved:  after upgrading OS to Windows 7, now discovered that "Windows 7 is NOT compatible with Brother MFC-9700 printer."

TRICK:  So again, even though you recently upgraded to Win "7", the Windows "VISTA" driver DOES work for successfully operating the Brother MFC-9700 in Windows "7". 

Note: on the Windows VISTA download page, you do "Not" need to download "add printer wizard driver" at all. Skip it.  The only download you need is the Windows VISTA "Full Driver & Software Package" (58.67MB)

I use the printers loaded on Windows 7 . Click star /Devices and Printers /Add printer Tab/ and choose brother, select t MFC 7340.  I was able to print on my MFC 9700 with those drivers
