Restoring Acer PC to factory settings

Hello,
I have had my acer computer for 3 yrs and its so slow.i would like to restore back to when i first bought it,factory settings? how do i do this i don't seem to have any discs?
i have read on here go to start and recovery management but i dont seem to have that in my start screen?
windows vista acer aspire pc
