Blank screen on laptop Closed

Question

We have a dell 1555 laptop, a couple of months ago it was working fine, then I closed the lid for a while till I used it later that day. When I lifted the lid to switch it on the screen was blank and it has never worked since. We have hooked it up to the pc lcd monitor but still nothing comes up on that. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Thanks

Hi,

Remove battery and press the power button for few seconds then you can reseat battery followed by adapter .Try it this works.

Hi, we also tried that after reading posts on here and that didn't work either
