First try to key alt+ctrl+del to open your task manager, click on new task and type explorer.exe and click ok.

Hello,
First thanks to "Ambucias".
Try this 1
First remove the external devices that are connected to your computer. Switch on your computer -->Go to BIOS once again --> Load the default settings --> Set the first boot device as "Hard disk"
--> Save the settings and exit from the BIOS.
If the problem still exists then let me know if you have an OS DVD with you.
Good Luck

I have tried doing what you said to do with fail :-(.
It almost sounded like it was trying to boot and the bluse pentium screen kept flashing.
