Hello,
my lap top can not find my wifi 5100 device, it that my usb device which has attached to this computer it has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it, and ive got windows 7 so it a bit confusing for me to sort it out guys and id be grateful with you if you could help me. :')

With your device plugged in, go to start > right click computer > manage
on the left side click device manager and find your device in there (it might have a triangle next to it) - this could either be under network adapters or universal serial bus controllers.
if you find it in here i recommend right clicking on it and uninstalling, restarting the laptop and trying again.
if this fails, download usbdeview from https://download.cnet.com/s/usbdeview/
install this and delete all the usb driver which are in there relevant to your device.
also, check that the device is compatible with windows 7 on the manufacturers website.
