It wont let me play the sims 3 ambitious

Hello,

i have downloaded the Sims 3 (original). And later during Christmas time i got Sims 3 late night. When i would want to play the Sims 3 (original) it would say "please insert the Sims 3 late night," on the Sims 3 game launcher, even though i wanted to play the Sims 3. I even click the Sims 3 shortcut on my desktop.
Now, i got the Sims 3 Ambitious. Ive have downloaded it and it does not seem to work. i go to the Sims 3 game launcher. and i click play and it doesn't play. it just stops.
i have uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still doesn't seem to work.
WHAT DO I DO!!?
