suggestion only::: try to open your computer you can see the RAM release it and clean the bronze teeth using eraser and return back again.... causing of over hit and over use if your computer is black only they have no blinking underscore(_) no letters and no numbers no wordings no list the problem is RAM (try to change it) but if you see the letters,wordings,numbers, like safe mode but no blinkin underscore(_) they have some advance option in press F1 and F2 OR DEL for (delete) go to boot option chage the (floffydisk to DVD/cd drive) in first boot to detect the dvd disc or cd disc im happy to help i hope your computer is stable and good

thanks @xevensecond but i do not think the problem is ram as i can properly boot in kubuntu and yes i can see advanced startup options but cannot boot in any mode
