Pc wont boot up properly

Hello,
can anyone help me i have a problem with my pc!
lastnight it was installing updates and was saying configuring 2 of 3 when my little girl tripped over the lead an pulled the plug out the wall, now when i turn it on it starts up for a few minsjust to tell me that the comp was not shut down properly and to press enter when i press enter the screen just goes blank only showing the mouse i can hear the tower still trying to work! iv left it switched off over night but still its doin the same.
