Hello,
I was somehow able to recover factory settings on windows..however despite it claiming my files wouldn't be lost I could not restore them...i knowthey are still there since there is 70gb of files on my hardrive exactly what I had before the crash...now the comp is back to black screen upon boot..can anyone tell me how to recover my documents and pics at this point..then I can wory about returning to the factory settings? Thanks for any help..........

Your best bet is to buy an external USB hard drive enclosure box. Remove the hard drive, connect the HD to the adapter and attach the USB cable to another computer and copy the file you need to the other computer.
You might have a hardware problem with the computer and a factory restore will not fix it.
