Mail Merging from Excel to Excel

Hello and Good morning Everyone.

I will appreciate your expertise on this question because I have tried attempting several avenues and still didn't work.

What I am trying to do is the mailmerge an excel form using the data from another excel file.

I have a list of names, with their room numbers, acct. numbers, birthdays, and addresses in an excel file. (roster.xls).

Every week, I had to print several excel forms that has their Names, rooms, and account numbers (like exercise log sheet - one sheet per name). So far, what I am doing is painfully typing each name and each room number per page. I have 58 names in my roster and I have a good 10 various forms.

I was trying the re-create the form in WORD so I can mailmerge, but WORD is not as flexible as excel.

I was wondering if I can Mailmerge from excel (roster.xls), to the various forms I need to print on a weekly basis without me re-typing the same names again and again every week.

Could you post a sample book at some shared site with some sample data and post back the link to file here
Thank you for replying Rizvisa1. My goal is to update only 1 file and the rest of the forms will abide by the roster files.

Ok, here are the sample files.

This is the main roster. I keep this updated every time we have a new resident or a resident leaves.

There are several worksheets that I need to be updated on a weekly and monthly basis. SO just imagine how taxing retyping the info.

If it is possible to mailmerge from excel to excel, then every change I do to the main roster will reflect on the other forms and that will help me a lot.

I just had a look at roster and diaper and nurse assistant files. I am not still clear what you want to do. If you could explain your manual steps in detail and what you want to automate, some one might be able to help. Right now at least I have clueless in what what you want to do. Are you only interested in printing for each name in roster file, all other sheets with only name being auto populated ?
