Hello,
I have a Sony dvd drive, but after a week ago it can't read any files.
I have already burn movies to dvd and now when i open any movies with vlc it says that vlc can't read the file But i can open files from my hard disk.
When i insert any cd/dvd i can view the data stored in the dvd but can't open any file in dvd
all my dvds and softwares are 100%working fine.
Problem is that it can't read any file from dvd/cd.
I've checked in device manager it says device is working properly.
Please help me out of this problem.
Main thing is that I can Burn a Blank dvd/cd But can't open any of files from dvd/cd.

you should cheek the speed at which you write your CDs and reduce it to the speed of your DXD ROM

So do you face this issue only with dvd's burned on your PC?
As elitsikata said try to reduce the speed of writing.
Using cheap DVD and writing them at high speed may cause this issue else it would be a hardware issue
