0 memory and 0 space 320 gb iomega hard disk

Greetings,
I have 320 gb external hard disk i found 1 day that its coming 0 memory and 0 space my very imp. files are there its asking formate when i try formate then also it,is not working how can i recover pls help me friends

Did you try formatting using disk management?

Go to run and type

diskmgmt.msc

Right click on your HDD and format

this can be the boot sector damaged. you may search some recovery tools that can help you restore files from such problem.
