Do you face issue only with facebook?
Did you try it on another browser?
If yes then try this
Go to run and type
cmd and click ok
In the command prompt screen run these commands
cd C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
notepad hosts
Now make sure that you dont have any entries below this line
127.0.0.1 localhost
If you find entries remove it ,let us know

Greetings,
Try this if the solution given by Sundar (whom I greet).
Make sure you don't have a proxy server interfering:
1)Open Control Panel (Start Menu - Control Panel)
2)Click Internet Options
3)Click CONNECTIONS tab
4)Click Lan Settings button
5)Make sure the box under the Proxy Server section is UNSELECTED
6)(Optional) SELECT Automatically Detect Settings
