This sounds like a driver issue. If a device does not show up in the device manager it's almost always a driver issue. You will need to find out what kind of audio you have on your mother board and download/install the drivers for it. It's probably the same issue with the dvd drive.

Fortunately I still have the original Harddrive with Software. Don,t have the balls to go and work on this one. Got a 500GB unit where I,m doing all this.
Now I,m starting all over again with xp installation from my nlite CD.
