Clips dont play properlyClosed

Question

I bought a new Nikon SLR (D5100) and downloaded the photos and movie clips but the clips get stuck when I play it. Not sure if if this is because my CPU is too slow, whether the format of the clips are not fully supported or what the problem is. I may mention that my old Canon video recorder clips play without problems on the same computer. How to I identify what the problem is?
