Do you receive errors while installing?

Boot into safemode with networking

Try this

Download safemsi from here

http://www.windowsitpro.com/content/content/83387/SafeMSI.zip

Extract and run it

you should get ''windows installer has been enabled'' pop up

Download the latest version from here

https://filehippo.com/android/download_vlc/?ex=CORE-116.0

Try to install it
when i try to install ,it is saying that the file doesnt have a program associated with it for performing this action.or if one is already installed create an association in the default programs control panel...thanks again...please try to help me.

Do you face this issue only with vlc player or any folder or drive

I suppose your OS is XP

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/fileassoc/xp_exe_fix.zip

extract and run it..Now try to install
sorry i forgot to mention it,it is windows 7 Home basic (64 bit)...actually the problem is not only with vlc but also with some of the folders...even im facing problems in installing "c" language,im unable to install it...can u suggest me some solution to it.
