This doesnt look like a OS error, probably a harddrive issue
Open command prompt and run this
chkdsk and press enter
Does windows finds any problems?bad sectors?

http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessExplorer.zip
Download and launch it
On top you have ''system interrupts''
Check its ''CPU usage'' column
Does it take higher amount?

Are you using a SATA or IDE drive
If it is a SATA drive ignore the following steps
If it is IDE ,then try to change from PIO to DMA mode
Right-click on "Computer" and click on "Manage"
Click on "Device Manager"
Expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
Right-click on any label where "Channel" Click on Properties
Go to the Advanced Settings tab, under Device Properties check "Enable DMA"

Double click ''windows logs''>>> system logs
On right side you have ''Filter current log'',click on that
Now in
Event level>>>Check mark ''error and '' critical
go to Event id and type this
