Hello,
I have two Dell, home and laptop computers running XP. I connect to the internet via Suddenlink cable w/ Motorola modem and the captioned router. Both computers have a hard time connecting. Upon signing on, the computers search, but cannot acquire the address..Almost always takes going to "repair" to hook up. Since it is both computers,and the modem and signal strength are fine, I'm thinking it is the router.
Any ideas out there? Netgear itself has been a waste of time.....

hi,
try to bypass the router to see if the internet works.
if it does, this means that the problem comes from rthe router itself.
you may check the connection settings in the control panel.
