Hello,
I got a Sweex usb wi fi dongle, and upon installing the drivers from cd tried to connect to internet from an acer aspire 5020 laptop, but keep getting a password to allow net connection request. I have been allowed to use a pay wifi network for free due to my work, and some sort of user identification was used, as the only way to get free usage was to use the acer laptop. My question is: does a dongle or this dongle have some sort of IP address or identification towards the wi fi server which would annull my former user identiy towards the server?
P.S. I am using the dongle through an active USB extension cable.
Thank You
