Remotely controlling another PC

Hello, how to remotely control another PC .
I have two WIN7 laptop(professional and basic) and i want to control 2nd laptop from 1st one , like accessing files , playing music , shutdown etc.

I have made an ad-hoc network , but it only is useful for accessing files.

hi,
you can use the following tools for access to other computer.

-install team viewer on both computer
-note the ip address and password shown on both softwares.
-connect through any system to other and give the ip and password of computer to whom your are connecting.
