Samsung n150 net book to lg 42pj350

hello, im trying to connect my samsung netbook n150 * running windows 7 starter...to my lg 42pj350 tv to play my computers movies on the tv. the netbook only offers a vga jack to go to the tv and im using rgb cable from netbook headphone jack to matching jack on tv. problem is video plays good..but no sound. i also tried same setup on my samsung syncmaster ta350 tv and same problem...fine video, but no sound. what can i do to make this work...thank you...kim

This is a TV problem - The problem might be with the power level on the input signal. The TV may be looking for a "line" level rather than the "headphone" level. You might be able to find a amplifier that you can place between the PC and the TV.
