Right Headphone doesn't work

Hello,

I got a brand new pair of headphones and they work perfectly on most devices. But when I plug it into my laptop headphone jack only the left one works. Its a HPdv2000 running Windows 7. I have already updated the drivers. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Have you tried a different pair of headphones.
