CD NOT COMING OUT Of WRITER

Hello,

I have a sony dvd/cd writer, but due to some reasons i was not able to burn cds or dvds in it for 8 months. However i continued playing discs and it worked smoothly.

Recently i bought a blank CD for writing image of windows xp prof. sp3. I Am using Nero burning ROM 10 software for the same.

First Of all All the process went well, then burning started but it didn't complete, and after wasting 3 minutes a msg came that burning process failed.


Now the light of my cd/dvd player has stopped emerging from the moment burning started and my CD is trapped in the writer. Its Not coming out. I tried Restarting,ejecting but its not working. I tried uninstalling reinstalling cd/dvd drivers but the cd inside is not popping out.
The write may b failed due to failure of my dvd writer hardware (due to non useability for 8 months) but why the disc is not popping out?


My Other Specs: Asterope 3 motherboard(hp pavillion), 2 gb ddr2 ram, 160 gb hd, nvidea display card,650 w power supply,pentium 4 3.06 ghz..
