Hello,
My HP G60 has a black screen when I turn it on. It's running fine, I can hear the fan and the power button is lit up and if I look really good, I can see on the screen that it's on, but it's really dim.
However, when I push the screen all the way back (about 180 degrees) it gets bright, back to it's normal screen. And if I move it from the pushed back position (to 90 degrees or anything less0, it goes black again.
What could be the problem? The fact that it shows when I push it all the way back tells me it's probably a hardware issue.

This is probably a problem with the cable that runs between the motherboard and the screen. I suggest you take the laptop to a qualified shop to have the cable replaced. They will need to order a replacement cable that might take a week or to to arrive.
Good Luck
