Hello, I have this sony vaio laptop model number VPCEB14EN. It was working fine but yesterday night it got witched off on it own and den when I tried restartin it I got the error on the black screen sayin 'A disc read error occurred Press ctrl+alt+del to restart...
Tried that it din work. Tried the F10 thing also but its not able to launch the recovery tools.. Pls help. I dont wanna loose my data. I have windows 7 installed.

hello, try your HDD connect to another PC and If the disc is damaged will not start ...

Sorry but how to do that? can u pls tell me..And if it doesnt start den how to get HDD repaired?

Hi, get your HDD from your laptop to something like this

and check in another pc.

HDD repair is so expensive - specialized company
