Hello,
My laptop suddenly stopped working and when i switch it on, it asks me to press ctr+alt+del to restart. It also displays a message that i should insert a boot device and then restart. It basically cannot read my hard drive but when i make my hard drive an external on a different machine it would tell me that i have to initialize my hard drive. PLEASE HELP!!

sounds like your hard drive got broken. Do you hear any clicking sounds? It is very probable that the damage is physical. In this case, you should seek professional help (technician).
